Ringing has been used for studying birds since the middle of the XIX century. It aims at studying the peculiarities of their biology (life expectancy, periods and localizations of migrations, etc.). The first time ringing was conducted on the territory adjacent to the Rybalsky quarry was the autumn of 2017. This year it was decided to celebrate this event in the World Migratory Bird Day (May 12) which is held under the slogan "Unifying our voices for bird conservation." Individual rings were put both on the resident birds (geat tits) and birds which migrated through the quarry (song thrush).
